Switch from Spendee to Xpenses

Bring your Spendee history to Xpenses in two minutes: we find your bills, and you get a month-end forecast and reminders on the day each bill is due.

Updated: 2026-10-08

Spendee is a beautifully designed expense app with shared wallets. People who switch to Xpenses usually want to go from logging what they already spent to knowing how much they will have left, with no bill catching them by surprise.

What you bring from Spendee

  1. Open the Spendee mobile app (its web app cannot export).
  2. More, Export, choose the accounts and the period, and CSV or XLS.

Spendee's free plan exports the last 365 days, enough for Xpenses to find yearly bills too. We recognise its columns and categories: if they are named like yours in Xpenses, they are assigned automatically.

What changes

  • Xpenses focuses on what repeats; one-off expenses are yours to add only if you want them in the forecast.
  • There are no multiple currencies: each user works in their own.

If you want to log every expense in detail, Spendee is still a good choice.

Switch in four steps

  1. Export your transactions from Spendee (how is above).
  2. Create your free Xpenses account and add your bank account with today's balance.
  3. Go to Settings, "Import from another app or your bank", choose Spendee and upload the file.
  4. Review what we found, untick what you no longer pay and tap "Add".

Importing is free on every plan, and the file is deleted as soon as the import is done.
