A template to split a couple's shared costs in proportion to income. Enter what each of you earns and the amount of each shared expense, and the sheet works out how much each person pays.
How the proportional split works
If one person earns 2,000 and the other 1,500, the first brings 57% of the income and pays 57% of each shared bill; the second, 43%. The effort is the same for both, even with different salaries.
What is in it
- Each person's income and their share.
- Shared costs: rent or mortgage, utilities, internet, groceries and home insurance (add rows as needed).
- How much each person pays for each cost, with totals.
Prefer half each? Enter the same income in both cells. And if you would rather track bills together without spreadsheets, read how to manage money as a couple.
